Top 10 Private Jet Destinations for Winter 2010 Named By New Flight Charters

The Top-10 destinations were, (#1) Jackson Hole, WY; (#2) Aspen, CO; (#3) Las Vegas, NV; (#4) Fort Lauderdale, FL; (#5) Eagle/Vail, CO; (#6) Palm Springs, CA; (#7) Miami, FL; (#8) Scottsdale, AZ; (#9) Salt Lake City, UT; and (#10) Teterboro, NJ (New York City).

The list is compiled from New Flight Charters’ flight data and charter history for December 2009 through March 2010, from a total of 185 unique domestic and international destinations during the period. The most popular type of charter flight was family or group ski vacations to Jackson Hole and Aspen ski resorts. The most common flight originations were from California and the Northeastern U.S.

Charter aircraft chosen for these Winter charter flights included various types and sizes of private jets, ranging from the luxury 13-passenger Gulfstream IV-SP to the economical Beechcraft King Air 200 executive turboprop, seating up to 8 passengers. 86 percent of flights were in private jet aircraft, with the remainder in turboprop and twin piston charter aircraft. The most popular charter aircraft types included the 8-passenger Hawker 800XP and Learjet 60 midsize jets, and Citation Ultra and Hawker 400XP light cabin jets.
