Rick Colson fell in love with aviation at age 15 in the right seat of a V-tail Beechcraft Bonanza at the then- Scottsdale Airpark. As an FAA-certified pilot with 18 years senior business, aviation and operations management experience, Rick has experienced multiple facets of private aviation from the pilot seat to the front office. Rick believes that success in private aviation and private jet charter in particular all come down to the level of service and the customer's experience before, during and after a flight. New Flight charters was founded on this core level of service. In addition to overseeing operations, Rick feels it necessary to keep a hand in the heart of the business and occasionally handles charters as well.
Rick earned a Bachelor of Science in Business degree from the renowned W. A. Franke College of Business at Northern Arizona University and earned his FAA ratings at Pinnacle Aviation Academy. He is an active member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, National Business Aircraft Association, and National Air Transportation Association.
